A evolução do (pre)conceito de deficiência

O presente artigo procura explicitar a evolução histórica da conceituação da deficiência sob a ótica do estigma e da discriminação que configuram (e, por vezes, ainda configuram!) as páginas de nossa história, mais precisamente quanto às oportunidades educacionais (negadas e proporcionadas) e aos serviços oferecidos à clientela dita especial (hoje chamadas de Portadores de Necessidades Educativas Especiais pela sociedade que, em certa época, pregou integração mas segregou e, hoje, prega inclusão mas ainda exclui.

We also declare that, after being published by Revista Educação Especial (UFSM), a paper will not be submitted to another journal within two years.
