Animus. Revista Interamericana de Comunicação Midiática
Animus (ISSN 2175-4977) is a publication of the Graduate Program in Communication at Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Brazil. The journal’s proposal is to provide reflection on, production, and dissemination of knowledge in communication. Therefore, the journal's editorial policy encompass academic papers, reviews and translations of conceptual and empirical research written in Portuguese, Spanish or English in the areas of journalism, advertising, public relations, radio and television, editorial production, cinema and audiovisual, in addition to studies related to communication. The journal is dedicated to researchers, professionals, professors and students of communication and its related areas. Animus has B1 rating at Qualis/CAPES (2013-2016) evaluation and has a semi annual frequency.

Balduinia
The journal Balduinia was conceived in 2004, initially as the "Bulletin" of the Department of Forestry Sciences Herbarium of the Federal University of Santa Maria, being first published in January 2005. From its third number onwards, given a demand for a ISSN registration, the periodical moved to the category of "journal".

The journal Cadernos de Comunicação, which has been in existence since 1996, is associated with the Postgraduate Program in Communication (POSCOM) of the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). It focuses on the publication of researches in the area of Communication, both by the theoretical perspective As empirical. It is aimed at researchers in training and graduates from five clearly defined sections (Free Articles, Thematic Dossiers, Communication of Research Results, Case Reports and Reviews). Contemporânea - Revista do PPGART/UFSM
Contemporânea - Journal of PPGART/UFSM, ISSN 2595-5233, is a six-monthly publication journal. It aims to be a space of production of knowledge, discussion and dissemination of researches on History, Theory and Critics of Art and Visual Poetry, in dialog with other areas of knowledge, such as music, film, literature, scenic arts, dance and the human sciences. The journal is interested in publications that stem from the thinking of artists, historians, intelectuals, philosophers, as well as literature reviews and translations of relevant works for the arts, which should contribute both for an analysis and an update of the global and local state of the arts. -
Education
The Education (UFSM) Journal has as its scope the publication of unpublished and original papers in the area of Education, resulting from scientific research and theoretical reflections on educational practices and policies. The articles can be published in Portuguese, English and Spanish and, exceptionally, articles can be published in Italian, French and German.
The Education (UFSM) Journal does not make charges for the submission of articles, as well as for its publication.

Economia e Desenvolvimento
Economics and Development Electronic Journal (ISSN: 2595-833X) is a semi-annual publication (July and January) of unprecedented work related to the economy and the its areas, with the purpose of disseminating the scientific production of researchers of public and private institutions of teaching and research, in the many areas covering economic science. Fragmentum is a semester scientific journal of Languages, Literature and Linguistics, Qualis B2, produced by Corpus Laboratory of the Program of Graduate Degree in Languages (PPGL), at Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM), Brazil. The journal publishes original papers produced by researchers who develop, as an object or as a result of research, discussions a) in Linguistics - enunciation or discursive questions that deals with the history of linguistic knowledge production, and b) in Literature - comparative studies that demonstrate the relation between the literary text and its context of production as well as other arts, media, fields of knowledge and textual forms. -
Geografia Ensino & Pesquisa
The journal Geografia Ensino & Pesquisa, ISSN 2236-4994, is a periodical maintained by the Department of Geosciences and by the Graduate Program of Geography and Geosciences (PPGGEO) of the Federal University of Santa Maria, with the objective of publishing original articles in the area of Geography, aiming to open space for the scientific dissemination and qualified debate inside the geographical sciences. Letras is a half-yearly periodical, belonging to the Letters research area, Qualis A2, published since 1991 and edited by the Graduate Program of Letters of the Federal University of Santa Maria. From the publication number 46, the journal was integrated to the Eletronic Periodicals Portal of UFSM, through the Eletronic System of Journal Editing (SEER). Of half-yearly periocity, with an editorial counsil composed of brazilian and foreinger academics, Letras has prioritized its publication regularity, the quality of its texts and diligence of its editorial work, both in print and digital, such that every new edition is sent to libraries, graduate programs and univeristies from around the country.

Linguagens & Cidadania is an eletronic journal of annual periocity concerned with the contribution of language studies for the construction of a base for the social and political engagement of teachers, researchers and other professionals of the Letter area. It encompasses, therefore, themes such as: languages development and its social practices; languages and social moviments; languages and social inclusion; discourse and emancipation and affirmation politics; languages and forms of construction of subjectivity and social identity; languages and socio-historical awareness; languages and social and legal aspects of professionalization; problems of education and language development. -
Literatura e Autoritarismo
The journal Literatura e Autoritarismo (ISSN: 1679-849X) is a half-yearly periodical published since 2003. It is tied to the CNPq Literatura e Autoritarismo Research Group and to the Graduate Program of Letters. It has the objectve of disseminate the debate on questions such as violence, authoritarianism, violation of human rights, sexual and racial prejudices and exclusion in the field of cultural production, specially literary production, adopting an interdisciplinary perspective with other areas of knowledge that allow the further development and reflection on those topics. With that purpose, the journal publishes, in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French or German, theoretical texts, papers, essays, interviews or reviews - always with original content and at least one researcher with a PhD as one of the authors - in which such subjects are discussed in lietrary works and other cultural productions, such as lyrics, films, photographies or paintings. The journal is classified as B2 under Qualis/CAPES.

A NPesq é um periódico semestral cuja missão principal é incentivar a publicação de resultados de pesquisas originais em desenvolvimento ou já concluídas nas diferentes áreas do conhecimento que usam o conceito de discurso como referencial de análise. Acolhe artigos, resumos expandidos, resenhas, slides de comunicações, pôsteres, planos de aula e unidades didáticas sobre temáticas variadas que encorajem o diálogo interdisciplinar sobre as relações entre discurso e práticas sociais. O periódico visa à divulgação de resultados obtidos em diferentes fases do processo de investigação (análise piloto, análise do contexto, análise do texto e do discurso, etc.), desde que esses resultados estejam baseados em dados coletados, analisados e interpretados com metodologia de pesquisa consistente.

Voluntas: International Journal of Philosophy
Voluntas: International Journal of Philosophy, ISSN 2179-3786, Qualis/CAPES A3, is a journal of the Brazilian Section of the Schopenhauer-Gesellschaft (Schopenhauer Society) linked to the Postgraduate Programs in Philosophy at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) and of Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). It's main aim is to publish original articles, reviews, translations and interviews in the field of Philosophy, especially on Schopenhauerian philosophy, in order to promote dialogue between Brazilian and foreign researchers. The journal is published in two sections: (i) Schopenhauerian Studies, the journal's original issue, which publishes works related to the philosophy of Arthur Schopenhauer; (ii) thematic and occasional Dossiers, which publishes works on a wide range of topics in the field of Philosophy related in some way to Schopenhauer's philosophy. In addition, the journal occasionally publishes special issues. The journal is published on an annual basis in the Continuous Publishing model. In this format, manuscripts are published as soon as the evaluation and review processes have been completed.
