Considerations about Down Syndrome in different countries: identifying developed associations, programs and researches

In a society characterized by dominant social segments that defines an ideal man profile and requires that individuals adapt to that schema, it’s essential to consider the importance of enriching the person for their difference. To consider the difference is to agree that people have their particular aptitude and fragility, that shouldn’t be totally emphasized. This consideration raises the question: how has Down Syndrome being conceptualized in currently society in countries like: Spain, Brazil and United States? In order to solve this question, this work has like goals offer a contextualization about Down Syndrome had been conceptualized at his countries. The present research is characterized by bibliographic research of works on internet, like: Google Books and Academic Google. To answer the question, also was searched others sources like: a National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) from USA, Down Spain Magazine and Post of APAES Magazine. Data collated indicates that Brazilian Associations and ONGs found unliked one of the others, just APAE it’s a national organization. In Spain and USA there are Spain Down Federation and National Down Syndrome Society that present a strong national unit in their respective countries. It’s possible to summarize that in Brazil, different from the others countries, still there are long ago to advance about inclusion discussion of Down Syndrome people.
