This text presents a dossier that originated in the IVth edition of the Latin American and Brazilian Seminar on Motor Praxiology that took place at the Federal University of Santa Maria, Santa Maria, RS,Brazil, from the 19th to the 21st of May 2023. With the submission of several works at this event, highlighted the need to also indicate the theme of this dossier: Physical Education and Motor Praxiology: Joints and Challenges. The general objective of this proposal was to provide an academic space for the production and study of praxiological knowledge, aiming to situate the place of Motor Praxiology within the scope of Physical Education in Latin America, debating paths and challenges in this process. 11 (eleven) scientific articles authored by Latin American and European researchers were published in this dossier, one of which was written by the author of the praxiological theory, professor Pierre Parlebas. This project consisted of another scientific step in our area, even so, it showed the need to continue the process of articulating Motor Praxiology with Physical Education in an increasingly scientifically in-depth way.
