Abstract

Through a documentary research, the objective was to verify the appropriation of students' knowledge about Badminton in Physical Education classes.  The study points out that the teacher has a critical pedagogical position, contributed to significant students’ formative process. It is concluded the importance of compulsory training in academic formation, and the relevance of systematization of contents, through the curricular principles of dealing with knowledge and the organization of schooling cycles.

Doutorando em Educação pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC). Possui mestrado em Educação pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC). Possui graduação em Licenciatura em Educação Física pela Universidade do Extremo Sul Catarinense (UNESC). Atualmente é professor nos cursos de Educação Física e Pedagogia da UNESC. É membro dos seguintes grupos de estudos e pesquisa: Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisa em Educação Física e Escola: Conhecimento e Intervenção (GEPEFE UNESC) e Núcleo de Estudos sobre as Transformação no Mundo do Trabalho (TMT UFSC).
