Abstract

Three short-term interventions have been corroborated for the treatment of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder): psychotherapeutic (behavioural), psychopharmacological, and the combining of both interventions. This article reviews clinical questions, limitations and efficacy of these interventions. Behavioural interventions in the form of Parental Behavioural Training and the Management of Behavioural Contingencies in the Classroom seem to be particularly efficacious.
