Abstract

Este trabalho é o acúmulo de estudos e discussões coletivas referente a temática: FORMAÇÃO DE PROFESSORES E AS POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS NO BRASIL. Debate que vem sendo feito desde 1997 pela comunidade do Centro de Educação da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, com o Seminário da Região Sul do país: "PARA ONDE VÃO AS LICENCIATURAS? POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS E A FORMAÇÃO DE PROFESSORES". Estes estudos materializam uma alternativa possível, desafiadora, capaz de transformar os processos de reformulação dos Cursos de Licenciaturas da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, tendo como fundante deste processo a formação da docência, através da organização de eixos temáticos mediadores, redimensionando aí os significados das práticas às praticas de significado na formação de professores.
