View Special Edition - 1/2023: The speaker, the linguist and an antropology in the language: a tribute to Professor Valdir do Nascimento Flores

In this Special Edition, we consolidate the significant contribution of Valdir do Nascimento Flores to linguistics, demonstrating that it is “possible to write differently even if you are a linguist” (NORMAND, 2009, p.101), as “books of knowledge, of research, have also its 'style” (BARTHES,2004, p.210). The recent work General Problems of Linguistics, by Flores (2019), is certainly one of his most interesting books, the result of several years of research. This simple tribute brings together Articles, Review, Translation and an Interview with the honoree himself. All authors had some teaching, research or academic partnership relationship with Professor Valdir. If this Tribute inspires a few others, it will have fulfilled one more objective.
