Improving plant efficiency can be a process used to sustainably increase agricultural production potential. Thus, the present study aims to analyze the morphological parameters of soybean plants, yield components, productivity and grain protein content, and water use efficiency, in an experimental crop with light (with different spectra) and water supplementation, in the 2023/24 harvest, in Cachoeira do Sul - RS. A field experiment was conducted in the experimental area of UFSM-CS, to collect all information related to soybean cultivation, allowing to achieve the proposed objectives. Water and light supplementation increased the leaf area index, plant height and all soybean yield components, especially the number of pods per plant-1 and the weight of a thousand grains. Thus, soybean productivity reached a maximum of 8,475.7 kg ha-1 when light supplementation in the red (FarRed) and violet (Red+Blue) spectra was used, associated with transparency of 121 mm (6 irrigations throughout the cycle). These managements increased water use efficiency, which was 11 kg mm-1, and the protein content of soybean grains, which was up to 41%. Therefore, water and light supplementation (red and violet spectrum) contributed to increased soybean productivity, increased water use efficiency, and improved quality (protein) of the grains produced.
