This research investigates exercises produced by 10 year old children, attending the class E, Cycle II (5th year of elementary school), of the municipal school Professor Lourenço Ferreira Campos, located in Goiânia. It aimed to analyze how do these children relate to the past and how do they perceive the change in time and space, from three images of the city of Goiânia at different times. Three pictures of the city were selected, taken in 1937, 1942 and 2011, in order to execute the proposed task. It was brought to light that the city Goiânia was planned and its construction started in the 1930s, whereas, in 1942, its cultural baptism, composed of civic festivities, was held and organised by the government.Downloads
