Abstract

Test anxiety is a type of multifocal individual performance anxiety characterized by psychological, physiological and behavioral reactions to school assessments. Studies of this construct seek solutions to this situation that occurs at all levels of education. In this context, gamification presents itself as an excellent evaluative strategy, as its use mechanism is precisely to promote a positive experience. Focusing research in this area can favor the discovery of solutions and the creation of new educational models that privilege assessment as a dynamic and constructive process. Thus, a systematic review of the literature was applied in order to understand the occurrence of test anxiety, approaching gamification as a solution to this problem. The results showed that it is necessary to rethink the evaluation process in the school space and that gamification presents promising signs as a strategy to be applied, due to its motivating and engaging character, which seeks to create a positive experience for the user.
