Overview and perspectives of initial and continued qualification in Physical Education in Brazil

The text addresses the topic based on small theses that involve: the macro-structural conditions that influence professional qualification; the conformation of curricula based on academic disciplines that configure the object of study of Physical Education based on their own objects, configuring a fragmentation of knowledge and a difficulty in linking it with intervention; the characteristics of knowledge production in the field and its impact on qualification processes; critical analysis of the impact of postgraduate studies on qualification processes; evaluation and suggestions on continued qualification policies for the field of Physical Education.
