A partir do ano de 2024, a Experiência – Revista Científica de Extensão passa a ser publicada em fluxo contínuo, adotando um modelo editorial que contempla a publicação imediata dos originais, após o processo de avaliação e revisão. Esta estratégia editorial permite agilizar a publicação dos originais, o que possibilita dinamizar a disseminação do conhecimento científico e entregar ao público leitor acesso imediato aos resultados das pesquisas.

A capa desta edição é uma homenagem visual a um dos projetos de extensão da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. A fotografia escolhida refere-se às ações articuladas entre o projeto de extensão "Juventudes, vulnerabilidades, desigualdade e diferença: tecendo caminhos" e o estágio supervisionado em terapia ocupacional no campo social, coordenado pela professora Késia Maximiano. A imagem que estampa a capa desta edição ilustra o dia em que os jovens, após um semestre de elaborações, experimentações e mobilização de recursos, puderam pintar o muro da escola.
