The floristic composition and the phytosociological structure of a natural stand, grown in the region of Carovi and Tupantuba, in the district of Santiago, State of Rio Frande do Sul - Brazil, are described. The vegetation showed to be relatively heterogeneous. Forty- one arboreous species was found. Among them, Sstyrax leprosus Hook., Et Arn, Lonchocarpus sp., Lithraea molieoides Engl., Myrciaria rivularis Camb. And Myrcia bombycina (Berg) Kiaersk., are the most characteristic and important of the association. Ntural regereration is also abundant.Downloads
