The present research intended to verify in which manner professors of Visual Arts – Majoring/UFSM understand the shifts occurred in the planning of the syllabus in 1992, 1999 and 2004. It is also aimed at to perceive the importance of those shifts for the academy as a whole and its professors. In this way, the research was structured through a qualitative method, based on a case of study (three professors at the Course of Visual Arts taking part of the Pedagogic Project planning.). Thus, the methods for the making of this research were directed to a Pre-analysis, Description and Interpretation of the References. Those steps made possible to verify the conception and the part taking of professors’ social and professional values and ideals in those shifts facing the new guidelines being established. Therefore, it was noticed in the professors’ speech the strong presence of subjects like: Imposed Curriculum, Location Culture and reality and Teaching of Visual Arts as a midpoint of shift.Downloads
