This article investigates educational practices with children's drawings as forms of creative expression present in scientific publications. Based on an integrative literature review and qualitative data analysis, we sought to understand how children use drawing to express their voices, feelings and perceptions in the midst of social and environmental challenges. Given the diverse theoretical perspectives on creativity and the educational contexts in which it can be stimulated, this research asks: how does literature address creative development in childhood through drawings in education? To this end, a systematic literature review (SLR) was prepared following the PRISMA protocol. We used the following databases: SciElo Platform, Web of Science (WOS) and Digital Bank of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD) from Capes. 89 studies were found in the period between 2008 and 2023. 63 works were excluded because they were not fall within the scope of this investigation, totaling a sample of 18 publications. The results found indicate that creativity develops mainly in formal teaching environments, but it is important to explore and expand research on this topic in non-formal teaching spaces, which offer experiences that promote children's creativity and imagination. This study enriches the understanding of the value of children's drawings as a form of communication and expression in contemporary educational contexts, especially motivating creativity.
