This review aims to present an analysis of the book Didática e metodologia do ensino de filosofia no Ensino Médio (Didactics and methodology of Philosophy teaching in High School), written by Ademir Aparecido Pinhelli Mendes. It is an important work that consists of methodologies that are the result of a long trajectory as a teacher of Philosophy in High School and, also, of a vast experience as a researcher on Philosophy teaching and teaching methodologies. In his work, the author presents a plurality of didactic analyzes from different philosophers, not summarizing his considerations to only one strand of methodological thinking. The reader will not find in the book a recipe for how to teach Philosophy, but rather a profound problematization about Philosophy teaching and the possibilities of how it can be taught.
