Abstract

The participation of all in a Physical Education class requires pedagogical resources and proper and/or adapted teaching strategies to each group of participants. The aim of this study was to: identify, interpret and categorize the suggestions found in the literature on teaching strategies and learning resources offered to teach blind and visually impaired students. The specific objectives were: 1) Presentation of teaching strategies and learning resources in an illustrative manual, and 2) A description of the illustrations, which can be read in Braille, enabling accessibility to the blind. The re - sults were obtained by the: 1) selection of propositions that describing teaching stra - tegies and pedagogic resources in literature, 2) the classification and categorization of the propositions, 3) development of the illustrative manual, and 4) description of the figures in the manual. The material produced will serve as a tool for academics, teachers, coaches of adapted sports, and for the daily use of teachers.

Manoel Osmar Seabra Júnior, Unesp/Presidente Prudente

Graduado em Educação Física pela Unesp/Bauru, Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1989), Mestre em Educação Física e Adaptação, Unicamp, Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1995) e Doutor em Educação - Unesp/Marília, (2008) na Linha de Pesquisa: Educação Especial no Brasil. Foi professor e coordenador dos cusos de graduação e Pós Graduação na UNIMAR, Universidade de Marília onde atuou durante 14 anos. Atua na área de Educação Especial com ênfase em Atividade Motora Adaptada, inclusão e Tecnologia Assistiva. Atualmente é docente do Departamento de Educação Física da Unesp de Presidente Prudente, na função de coordenador do curso.

Maria Luiza Salzani Fiorini, Unesp/Marília

Doutoranda em Educação (bolsista CAPES), na linha de pesquisa Educação Especial, pela Unesp - Marília. Possui Mestrado em Educação (bolsista FAPESP), na linha de pesquisa Educação Especial, pela Unesp - Marília (2011), e Graduação em Licenciatura Plena em Educação Física (bolsista PROEX) pela Unesp - Bauru (2008). Desenvolve projeto de pesquisa relacionado à Educação Especial, Tecnologia Assistiva e formação de professores de Educação Física no contexto da inclusão educacional de alunos com deficiência.

Eduardo José Manzini, Unesp/Marília

Possui graduação em Psicologia pela Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba (1983), mestrado em Educação Especial (Educação do Indivíduo Especial) pela Universidade Federal de São Carlos (1989) e doutorado em Psicologia (Psicologia Experimental) pela Universidade de São Paulo (1995). Atualmente é professor associado da Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho, departamento de Educação Especial, e docente do Programa de Pós-graduação em Educação, pela mesma UniversidadeTem experiência na área de Educação, com ênfase em Educação Especial, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: educacao especial, educação especial, comunicação alternativa, acessibilidade e deficiencia fisica.
