About the Journal

Contemporânea - Journal of PPGART/UFSM, ISSN 2595-5233, is a six-monthly publication journal. It aims to be a space of production of knowledge, discussion and dissemination of researches on History, Theory and Critics of Art and Visual Poetry, in dialog with other areas of knowledge, such as music, film, literature, scenic arts, dance and the human sciences. The journal is interested in publications that stem from the thinking of artists, historians, intelectuals, philosophers, as well as literature reviews and translations of relevant works for the arts, which should contribute both for an analysis and an update of the global and local state of the arts.

Contemporânea - Revista do PPGART/UFSM é uma publicação semestral. Pretende ser um espaço de produção de conhecimento, discussão e divulgação de pesquisas em  História, Teoria e Crítica da Arte e em Poéticas Visuais, em diálogo com outras áreas de conhecimento como música, cinema, literatura, artes cênicas, dança e ciências humanas. Tem interesse em publicações resultantes do pensamento de artistas, historiadoras/es, intelectuais, filósofas/os e/ou teóricas/as, e de revisões de literatura e traduções de obras relevantes para as artes, que contribuam tanto para uma análise do campo, como para a atualização das artes no âmbito local e global.
