Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The text should follow the formatting presented in the template.
  • The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not being evaluated by other journal.
  • The files for submission have to be in the Word format.
  • Reference URLs must be informed when possible.
  • The authorship identification is removed out of the article, so as to ensurethe Journal's confidentiality, as it is presented in the instructions Ensuring Double-Blind Review
  • The author must be post-graduated in stricto sensu.
  • The text msut follow the standards presented in Author Policies.

Authors' Policies

Template

1. The submitted texts must be in MS WORD (.doc) formatting, according to the template. The author is responsible for the ortographical, grammatical and stylistical review. The priority of authors falls into the Doctor, in case of a coauthorship submission.

2. The articles must include between 18.000 and 25.000 characters (with space), including bibliographical notes, images and tables. The articles must present an abstract in portuguese, english and spanish, in single-spacing. Each abstract should contain up to 250 words and 5 key-words, which are separated by ; in single spacing, Myriad Pro 10. 

3. Essays must have betweeb 12.000 and 15.000 characters (with space). Visuals essays of artist's researches, laboratories and collaborative or collective practics will be accepted. The maximum of images is 15, in JPG, 200 dpi.

4. The reviews must have 2500 words. The expositions or works must have been published in Brazil for at least three years, or six if overseas.

5. The main title should be written in bold capital letters. The ones written in spanish and english must be in bold capital an lower case.

6. The articles must be sent ready for the blind reviewing, in other words, the authors' names of institutions should NOT appear. Any information that identifies an author should be avoided. One of the authors must have the Doctor title and be linked to a strictu sensu Post-Graduation program. The articles must present Introduction, Development, Conclusions and References. 

7. The body of the text shall be written in Myriad Pro 12, 1.5 spacing. The superior and to the left margin should be 3 cm, while the inferior and to the right, 2,5. The terms in foreign language should be in italic. 

8. The images should have a format of 10 x 15 cm maximum, in .JPG 72 dpi. The images' data must appear centralized and under the image, indicating: name of author, title, year, technique, dimension and source (according to ABNT). The Journal does not bear any responsability for obtaining images' copyrights. 

9. Reviews must be sent with tecnic data of the work or exposition.

10. Interviews must inform interviewees' full name, year of birth, profession, institutional affiliations and biography, as well as a brief explanation of the context and relevance of the interview. 

11. The following textual elements must be observed: a) Double quotation marks when quoting up to three lines; b) When they surpass three lines, an indentation of 4 cm of the left margin, in Myriad Pro 11 with no quotation marks. c) The title of the work must not be greater than 20 words. d) The explanatory notes must be in the footnote of the page, numerated and short.

12. The bibliographical references' list has to appear at the end of the text. It follows the following criteria: 

Livro: SOBRENOME DA/O AUTORA/OR DA OBRA, Prenomes. Título da obra: subtítulo. Local de Publicação: Editora, ano de publicação.

Capítulo de livro: SOBRENOME DA/O AUTORA/OR DO CAPÍTULO, Prenomes. “Título do capítulo: subtítulo”. In: SOBRENOME DA/O AUTORA/OR DA OBRA, Prenomes. Título da obra: subtítulo. Local de Publicação: Editora, ano de publicação. Páginas inicial e final do capítulo.

Artigo de periódico: SOBRENOME DO/A AUTOR/A DO ARTIGO, Prenomes. “Título do artigo: subtítulo”. Título do Periódico, número do volume, número do fascículo, páginas inicial e final do artigo, mês e ano.

Dissertações e Teses: SOBRENOME DO/A AUTOR/A, Prenomes. Título da obra: subtítulo. Ano de apresentação. Categoria (Grau e Área de Concentração) – Instituição, Local.

Documentos eletrônicos:

SOBRENOME, Nome. Título do artigo. Título do periódico em negrito. Cidade: Editora, Vol., No., fascículo, p. 0-0, ano. Disponível em: <http://www - URL completo do documento>. Acesso em: dia mês abreviado ano.

Filmes:

Título do filme em negrito (ano de lançamento), Direção, País de Produção.
