Abstract

The organizational climate has been one of the most investigated variables and is directly related to the study of the perceptions built by individuals about their work (MENEZES; GOMES, 2010). The organizations sometimes opt for strategies that differentiate them within their market niche and may rely on building work environments conducive to the desired differentiation. Due to the importance of the Organizational Climate theme and the inherent specificities of cooperative societies, as well as the need for scales that may be practical in its application and analysis, this study proposes to validate a short organizational climate scale for credit unions. The instrument used was translated and cross-culturally adapted to the reality of Brazilian credit unions. The study included 381 employees from three credit unions in Rio Grande do Sul. After the exploratory factor analysis, the scale with 12 items was validated for credit unions.
