DATA ETHICS AS A POSSIBLE ANSWER TO SOME CHALLENGES OF INTERNATIONAL LAW IN THE FACE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Abstract

The technological development of digital tools and Artificial Intelligence used in various fields of action of mankind, have strongly affected society globally. This fact has caused a regulatory race, in addition to a huge discussion about the need to resort to ethics as a solution to the lack of standardization for the theme, and even for the development of a global governance of Artificial Intelligence, since the speed with which new technologies are developed is absolutely greater than the reach of legal regulation. This article makes a brief analysis of Artificial Intelligence as a disruptive technology, the challenges of international law in the regulation of a transnational theme and the possible response of institutes such as Data Ethics that can trace the future emergence of new international laws, allied to codes of conduct and ethical codes, sewn by new international actors, which may cover, if not all, the most diverse conflicts over the use and development of Artificial Intelligence systems. The research was carried out from a qualitative approach, of exploratory character with a social constructivist methodological approach, and techniques of bibliographic review and documental research were adopted.
