In this article, it is analyzed the presence of Woman in English Textbook (ET) in the collection Alive High, Ensino Medio. It is examined if stereotypes established socially are in an English Textbook collection, noting if the collection, through the collection of texts and activities, problematizes beauty stereotypes. For the achievement of the study, it was used the quantitative-qualitative-interpretative approach and the content analysis. The results indicate that the rate of occurrences of activities that cover the established goal is very small, silencing, in this way, important feminist staves to all society, specially the ones that are concerning to problematize beauty stereotypes. With that, it is noticed that the collection does little with regard to show the Woman as protagonist, emancipated, silencing the political and social differences among Women and men, as the Women’s struggle for rights. It is understood that the ET approach with regard to the main goal of the study undermines that, through it, the students can benefit with discussions about the current patriarchal society, considering issues as sexism, violence against Woman and sex inequality, besides reflecting about their experiences and perceptions, in a way that society can be fairer and less sexist.
