Abstract

The present work aims to study the practices developed by teachers in relation to environmentalissues in Tiradentes elementary municipal school, Mata/RS. For that, the search reach ourobjective we adopted the deductive method and descriptive, and methodological procedureswere based on interviews with teachers guided by a research tool with open and closed questions.It was possible to know the opinion of seven teachers about the work in class on EnvironmentalEducation. With this information, the data were tabulated and interpreted, resulting in someconclusions. It was observed that there is little concern of teachers to update themselves onenvironmental issues and that environmental education is not yet fully integrated into theteaching practice classes, being addressed in simple and barely consciousness way. Informationsuch as that could serve to the practices reflection on the schools developed seeking to improvethe teaching quality.
