Abstract

This paper aims to analyze traces of genres of activity mobilized by Portuguese Language preservice teaching trainees. We investigate whether there are, in preservice training, preservice training genres as distinct from teaching activity genres or there are in fact hybrid genres learning. The discussion proposed in this paper is based on a Bakhtinian theoretical point of view in dialogue with studies about work. For developing the reflection, we interviewed three preservice teaching trainees from the undergraduate Letters course from a private university in Rio Grande do Sul which were also voluntary members of a discussion group linked to the research. We hope this research could contribute to a greater understanding of teacher’s training process (including both preservice teaching training and access to the profession).
