The figure of Reiner Hildebrandt-Stramann in the configuration of the model Pedagogical Treatment of the Body

The authors of this article, colleagues and collaborators in the creation of the comprehensive educational theory known as Pedagogical Treatment of the Body, which was led by Professor Marcelino Vaca Escribano, review the potential influences that the ideas of Reiner Hildenbrant-Stramann had on the model during more than two decades of exchanges and joint research work. We do it from the idea of the Mobile School that we were able to apprehend from the various publications, lectures, practices and debates that we have shared with the professor of the Technical University of Braunschweig (Germany), taking as a guide the article in the magazine Movimento entitled "Escola(s) em Movimento" (2005).
Both models start from the assertion that the Body - for the TPC - and the Movement - for the Mobile School - are essential elements in the configuration of a school that wants to fulfill the double mission of teaching and educating. They share an ecological vision of the educational institution in which all its components (theories, programs, spaces, people, materials, etc.) must integrate and complement each other in order to attend to subjects who are bodies and who learn in movement.
