Abstract

The study aims at investigating whether the Physical Education teachers mobilize the contents of water activities in their classes, as well as analyse the factors which influence the understanding of such theme. In order to tackle the investigation problem, we delimited the time period in which the subject “Water Activites” was carried out, from 2013 to 2016, by using, as means of analysis, the data collected in structured interviews that were conducted by the undergraduate students of Physical Education with teachers from public schools. From the analysis resulted a set of explanations encompassing the facilities, technical expertise, fear of water and reductionism between content and the swimming activities.
