Reinventing places, people and education based on art in everyday spaces

Starting from interviews which were done in 2010 with two visual arts teachers, one artist and one high school student, this article presents ideas which discuss education through dialogs about the realization of artistic experiences in quotidian spaces, considering how these experiences may be present at learning processes. The dialogs approach involving students in experiences of seeing and making art, and looking for possibilities of reinvention of the relations between people and places, thinking education as beyond art and school spaces. By the interviews it was possible to perceive the collaborator‟s preoccupation on finding ways for an education without distance from the students‟ daily life, making the artistic experience as a challenge for knowledge of the self and the others in their relations with the lived place.Downloads
