This paper aims to weave relationships between body, dance and the literary reading that are produced in the school space, through the literary work Grande Sertão: Veredas de Guimarães Rosa. It is a study with a qualitative approach, which used the methodology Arts-Based Educational Research (ABER): A/r/tography. The research subjects were students of the extra hour classes, from the 6th to the 9th grade of Elementary School, from a Basic School of the Municipal Teaching Network of Itajaí, SC, Brazil. The production of data took place in 11 dance workshops, using literature as a propositional object. The results point that the dancing body can undergo an experience through the reading of the literary with appropriate cultural mediations that provoke the relationship between the literary work and body, motivating subjects to think and feel about how their bodies move and relate to the work, with others and with space.
