Abstract

This work consists of an experience report of a teaching practice of English Language as an Additional Language in Higher Education with a focus on the technological resources that were used. Organized in a sixclass work project, the practice was fundamentally based on technological resources that promoted greater student engagement in times of virtualized classes due to the covid-19 pandemic. For methodological purposes, the resources used were categorized into three types: (1) class materials, those used to make tasks available for students; (2) dynamics, for vocabulary, pre-reading, warm up activities, among others; (3) class and communication, which guaranteed proximity to students, even though at a distance. At the end of the project, the students evaluated the classes and the result was positive, with the dynamics and interactivity of the classes being two of the aspects most commented on by the students. This pedagogical practice was successful and can be replicated in similar teaching contexts.
