Estatal Turvo: visitación en tiempos de administración pública

Los Parques Estatales, así como los Nacionales, tener entre sus objetivos el desafío de sensibilizar a los visitantes a través del desarrollo de actividades educativas e interpretación ambiental. Sin embargo, para lograr este propósito es necesario conocer el perfil de las personas que lo visitan. Desde esta perspectiva, realizamos una investigación de campo para identificar el perfil de los visitantes del Parque Estadual do Turvo entre 2018 y 2019, así como analizar las motivaciones y expectativas de los turistas al recorrer el territorio de la unidad de conservación. Para ello, administramos un cuestionario a 144 visitantes para evaluar la percepción de los visitantes a su llegada (antes de la visita) y a su salida (después de la visita). Los resultados permiten creer que la gestión del uso público en el período evaluado no logró el “respeto ambiental” pretendido. Para ello, el Parque Estatal Turvo debe invertir en diferentes formas interpretativas sobre la biodiversidad y, en especial, sobre el ecosistema del jaguar, con el fin de involucrar y concientizar a los visitantes sobre la importancia de las áreas protegidas, así como sobre la conservación de la naturaleza.
