Abstract

O trabalho tece reflexões sobre o processo de inclusão de alunos com deficiências, de forma a garantir a todos eles o direito de freqüentar as salas de aula regulares, aponta os casos em que, mesmo com ajuda, a inclusão pode deixar de respeitar a vontade do próprio aluno, influenciar em seu auto-conceito, rebaixar a auto-estima que construiu com ajuda de outros, bem como tornar os atuais entraves burocráticos da Educação perpetuados na nova modalidade sob a denominação de ensino democrático, acentuando as diferenças. Defende a participação da Universidade no processo de transição.
