With the intention to contribute to the understanding of what the Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) is, in this article we address some of the basic aspects related to this issue. We will provide a brief historical approach of the SLD, and then we present its definition, characteristics and classification. The article ends with a short analysis to diagnosis and intervention in the SLD.Downloads
