Abstract

his paper aims to find and describe perspectives and attitudes of teachers face to the inclusive education of children with special needs of education. Thus, a survey was made to a sample of early childhood teachers in the municipality of Évora. Main results allow to conclude that teachers have some difficulties in their initial formation but are well prepared because they have specific training in special education. Teachers globally have a favourable attitude towards the inclusive education which frequently depends on the existence of material and human resources and discriminatory attitudes addressed to children with special needs of education are yet present.

Francisca Maria Rocha Almas Fragoso, Instituto Superior Ciências Educativas

Desempenha funções de Docente da Educação Especial desde 1998 em escolas particulares e do Ministério da Educação e é investigadora do Instituto Superior de Ciências Educativas de Odivelas. Em termos da formação académica, possui Mestrado em Educação Especial – Domínio Cognitivo e Motor pelo Instituto Superior de Ciências Educativa, Curso de Estudos Superiores Especializados em Educação Especial pela Escola Superior de Educação Jean Peaget e Curso de Educadores de Infância, pela Escola do Magistério Primário de Évora. Foi arguente nalguns júris de Mestrado em Educação Especial e em vários projetos no âmbito da Pós-Graduação em Intervenção Precoce. Participou em várias conferências e seminários de Educação Especial onde também apresentou comunicações. É autora de vários textos em educação especial, nomeadamente, artigos e capítulos de livros. Ao longo da sua carreira participou em numerosas açõesde formação contínua em diversas da temáticas educação.
