"This world is outrageously beautiful." This is how Yves Michaud3 begins his book by mentioning the great aestheticization of life that we currently live, the subject of this book. They can be beautiful from the packaging of the products, through the reconstructed or made-up bodies, to the corpses carefully wrapped in the ambulances. Between joking and being serious, Michaud reiterates that the men of the 20th century have lived under the triumph of aesthetics and, consequently, of their idolatry.
