This article discusses cultural mediation as a strategy developed in the continuing education of teachers in the municipal education system of Mossoró, Rio Grande do Norte. It is an educational initiative that connects formal knowledge with everyday experience. The aim is to analyze possible modes of cultural mediation integrated with Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICT) as pedagogical strategies used by teacher trainers at the Municipal Educational Technology Center (NTM) in developing courses for current teachers in the municipal school system. This is a qualitative study with an experience report design. It developed a description and reflective analysis of the six strategies most frequently used in continuing education from 2020 to 2022, period marked by the Covid-19 pandemic, with the aim of making teaching more dynamic, interactive, and connected to the sociocultural context. Therefore, it became clear that the means, the DICT, and the mediations—historical, social, political, and economic context—play a significant role in the teaching and learning process, enhancing the development of autonomy and critical thinking among those involved.
