Abstract

The purpose of this article is to present the accomplished studies on technical professional education in the context of Landless Workers Movement (MST). It claims to raise some questions related to the contradictory task of proposing courses with a transformative perspective in the bulge of a society where mercantile relations predominate. Part of this analysis focuses the experience developed in the agroecological technical course of the Escola 25 de Maio in the city of Fraiburgo, Santa Catarina. Even though so many professional formation courses have arised with the objective of attending technical and production necessities related to the own settled people survivorship, the educational proposal defended by the Landless Workers Movement (MST) attempts to constitute itself as an emancipation project, making evident the resistance and social struggle principles.
