Digital literacy on initial teacher training: undergraduate's views on distance education

The present works integrates a research that analyzed distance teacher training. It clarifies the changes that took place on the field of Brazilian education and the impact caused by technology, as well as the importance of digital literacy on teacher training. The data gathering was carried out in a distance Teacher Course offered by a Higher Education Institution. The methodological devices used were the participant observation on face to face meetings, questionnaires and interviews. The theoretical framework was based on researches approaching teacher training and digital literacy. The results have highlighted the impacts caused by the use of digital technology on the early training, and besides that, how those teachers thought about the digital technologies on the school environment and which possibilities they see for using those technologies on the teacher practice.Downloads
