Abstract

This study comparatively examines frameworks and guidelines addressing teacher competencies in artificial intelligence, considering their conceptual nature, predominant function, internal architecture, and degree of operationalization. Using a qualitative, descriptive-analytical, and documentary approach, the research established a corpus of six reference documents selected through a systematized search of academic databases and institutional repositories. The documents were analyzed individually and compared through a matrix comprising categories related to purpose, target audience, structure, progression mechanisms, conceptual depth, level of prescription, and scope of application. The results demonstrate that the frameworks do not constitute a homogeneous set, as they are organized according to three main logics: teacher education and professional development, curricular integration of artificial intelligence, and the ethical governance of specific uses. Normative-structural frameworks offer greater conceptual breadth but depend on institutional and pedagogical mediation for their implementation. Applied frameworks bring general principles closer to concrete contexts, whereas ethical-operational guidelines provide greater procedural detail within specific domains. The study concludes that teacher competencies in artificial intelligence should not be reduced to the technical mastery of tools but should instead be understood as the integrated mobilization of pedagogical, digital, ethical, curricular, and experiential knowledge in concrete teaching situations.
