Although the “PNLD” (Textbook National Plan) has already been implemented for a long time, only in the last two year plans (2008 and 2009) the Modern Language subject has been included as a curricular component, enabling the registration of English and Spanish textbooks. The “PNLD” Textbook Guide presents the evaluation result: 4 (four) collections of textbooks were chosen, 2 (two) for each language, from a total of 37 (thirty seven) registrations. The contrast between the number of participating books in the evaluation process and the ones approved calls our attention and leads us to reflect about some issues, which will be discussed in this text.Downloads
