Experience report: the study of normative grammar under a contextualized bias

Abstract

This experience report aims to present the development of activities as well as the results obtained from an intervention project carried out on a campus of the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology, located in the countryside of the state of Rio Grande do Norte, during six weeks. This project was developed for three classes in the second year of High School, within the scope of the mandatory internship for the Teaching Degree in Portuguese Language and Literature at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. It was possible to study, based on the students' difficulties, some topics of syntax through in-person meetings. During the classes, the contents were carried out in a contextualized and dialogic way, along with the students' participation. In conclusion, the results achieved were satisfactory and significant, since the students demonstrated understanding of the subjects that were studied weekly.
