https://periodicos.ufsm.br/experiencia/article/view/89483

This work discusses the reasons that lead rural students to discontinue their school studies. The general objective of the work is to understand the causes that led graduates not to remain in Basic Education at a rural school. With specific objectives: to point out factors that contributed to this withdrawal; outline alternatives for implementing public policies that will contribute to the end of educational, social, political and cultural inequalities in rural areas; analyze Rural Education as a space of identity and survival. Participatory research with a qualitative approach was used, starting with theoretical foundations in Caldart (2000, 2002, 2010), Arroyo (2007, 2011), Salomão Hage (2014), Bicalho (2017), Martins (2020) and Saviani (2016 ) and based on the legal frameworks of the Federal Constitution 1988 and the National Education Guidelines and Base Law (LDBEN, 9.394, BRASIL, 1996). The field research was carried out with former students of the José Pinto da Silva municipal school, using a questionnaire administered to six (6) former students as a data collection instrument. In view of the data analysis, the inclusion of Secondary Education in Basic Education in the field was evident. Therefore, from the research carried out with former students, it was possible to notice the absence of public power with the peasant populations.
Cardoso Sousa dos SantosSamuel Correa DuarteKelly Almeida de OliveiraLucas Paulo Carneiro da Silva

https://periodicos.ufsm.br/experiencia/article/view/88703

With the aim of understanding the perceptions and experiences of professionals linked to the Unified Health System regarding interprofessional preceptorship, in addition to understanding the challenges and possibilities for advances and resolution in health care based on the teaching-service-community triad, this qualitative and descriptive research was carried out. The data collection technique used was the focus group, with eight face-to-face meetings with health professionals who worked as preceptors in northern RS between August and November 2021. The results showed the perceptions and experiences of the preceptors from an interprofessional perspective, in addition to the challenges and contributions of this process, especially in the teaching-service-community approach. However, considerations were noted about the therapeutic itineraries and the fragmentation of health care provided in the services. Upon completing the actions, it was possible to understand the specificities and importance of each health professional, identifying a deficit in fragmented and technical training, thus not in line with the interprofessionality foreseen and present in the Unified Health System.
Renan MoiDarielli FontanaLuana Aparecida ZardinelloFernanda SarturiGreisse Leal

https://periodicos.ufsm.br/experiencia/article/view/90168

The Vigario lagoon is an aquatic ecosystem located in an urban area of Campos dos Goytacazes city and has been suffering constant anthropogenic pressure. The objective of the present study was to verify the perception of students and science teachers from a public school in relation to the Vigario lagoon. The use of lagoon as a teaching tool were verified through the application of a semi-structured questionnaire. The relation between students and lagoon was not meaningful, since they did not include themselves in the drawings. In the illustrations, they used anthropic elements such as the boardwalk around the body of water and portrayed the environment with natural elements such as a water with blue color, flowers and trees around the pond. The use of Vigario lagoon as a teaching tool can contribute to a re-signification of this environment, improve students' learning and their connection with the environment.
Clara Ayume Ito de LimaFranz Viana Borges

https://periodicos.ufsm.br/experiencia/article/view/85575

Springs and streams are commonly referred to as small bodies of water. The inhabitants of these environments include benthic macroinvertebrates, which are widely used in biomonitoring studies. The aim of the project was to encourage the protection of small bodies of water and to train students from a public school in the municipality of Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, Brazil, to use macroinvertebrates in a simple way as a tool for assessing and monitoring aquatic environments. We made five visits to the partner school, using graphic presentations, printed boards, and optical equipment as resources for observing specimens of different groups of invertebrates obtained from aquatic environments with different ecological conditions. At the end of the visits, a questionnaire was administered about the content of the activities carried out. As a result of the activities, we noticed an increase in students' interest in topics related to aquatic environments.
Marina Rezende NeivaAndressa Saldanha de SouzaLuiza Pedrosa GuimarãesBeatriz Figueiraujo Jabour Vescovi RosaRoberto da Gama Alves

https://periodicos.ufsm.br/experiencia/article/view/86949

Teaching Human Anatomy is crucial, requiring approaches that go beyond memorization, promoting student interest through contextualized methods. This work proposes an active methodology and didactic sequence to approach the cardiovascular system. Given the scarcity of resources, such as a lack of anatomical materials, laboratories and technology, the study aims to examine the dynamics of teaching in a public school in Fortaleza, using a didactic workshop. Based on government curriculum guidelines and the theories of Ausubel and Araújo and Mazur, the study concludes that the active methodology, particularly Peer Learning, combined with the didactic sequence, is effective in teaching cardiac anatomy. The results indicate that this approach allows fundamental concepts to be elucidated, stimulating new ideas and horizons for further research.
Albanísia Teixeira da CostaArnilza Torres Amaral MoranoDomingos Antonio Clemente Maria Silvio MoranoEmmanuel Prata de Souza

https://periodicos.ufsm.br/experiencia/article/view/89425

High school, in addition to solidifying basic education, can bring students closer to research and extension. In this sense, the objective of this work is to report the experience of activities developed by high school students in research and extension. This is an experiential report based on the experiences of high school students from southern Brazil as scientific initiation scholarship holders for more than a year and as participants in extension activities. Among the results of this experience are learning about scientific research, getting closer to the university and its dynamics, interacting with professionals and academics with different levels of education, improving reading, writing, and handling digital tools and social networks to produce content and disseminate knowledge to the community. The insertion of scientific research and university extension into the daily lives of these students, although challenging, can promote the expansion of knowledge and personal and professional development, both for them and for the advisor, making the experience enriching. Investing in this academic training process can stimulate future researchers, bring recognition to Brazilian science and generate social transformation.
Carolina Renz PrettoRosângela Marion da SilvaFlávia Camef Dorneles LenzNízer Londero PlestschLuiza Rizzi ChavesJuliana Tamiozzo

https://periodicos.ufsm.br/experiencia/article/view/87194

This work aimed to report an educational action with a sensory experience about Smoking with students from the public school system. This is an experience report approached in a descriptive and qualitative way. An educational action with sensory experience was carried out with 110 students in the 5th year of Elementary School at a public school in Londrina, Paraná. The action with sensory experience took place in November 2023, and was organized in the form of a circuit so that everyone could register, through their senses, the positive issues of having a healthy life and the negative issues caused by tobacco. It is concluded that it is necessary to expand the approach to issues related to health promotion in collective and initial school spaces and that awareness-raising and dialogical interventions in a positive environment contribute to health promotion and, especially in healthy choices for life, such as saying no to smoking.
Carolina Peres FredrigoFabiana Teixeira Augusto RomanoThais Emílio da SilvaSimone Roecker

https://periodicos.ufsm.br/experiencia/article/view/89656

We live in a world where changes are happening at an ever increasing rate, the days seem to have fewer hours, we have many activities and all of them are urgent. These and other reasons do not allow us to stop and think about how we are becoming increasingly individualistic, more isolated, and unable to give or receive attention from those around us. In light of this scenario, the Otium Caritatis outreach project promotes creative leisure time for university students and staff through teaching and learning craft techniques, in order to improve participants' ability to think, come up with ideas, establish strategies, take next steps, and set goals for the future.
Danubia Junca Cuzzuol

https://periodicos.ufsm.br/experiencia/article/view/91104

Objective: Highlight university extension programs as a tool for developing competencies and medical skills, as well as discussing opportunities, challenges, and possibilities experienced throughout the trajectory as an extension student. Methods: An exploratory and retrospective study conducted through documentary analysis and systematization of the experience of a medical student participating as a scholarship holder in an Extension Program at the State University of Rio Grande do Norte. Results: Categorical analysis revealed that activities fell into one or more of the three competency dimensions established by the National Curriculum Guidelines: Healthcare, Management, and Health Education. Extension allows for the development of complex approaches, integrating the networks of Teaching, Healthcare, Management, and the community. In the context of educational transformations, the curricularization of Extension serves as a key element in strengthening this process. Conclusion: The process of knowledge construction within the scope of Extension should not be considered merely complementary or accessory but should be worked on continuously.
Laíse Carla da Costa FelisbertoEllany Gurgel Cosme do NascimentoAna Beatriz da SilvaCrislayne Alesandra Aquino SilvaIsabelle Cantídio Fernandes DiogenesThales Allyrio Araújo de Medeiros FernandesPatrícia Estela Giovannini

https://periodicos.ufsm.br/experiencia/article/view/86025

The senescence process promotes functional changes in elderly people, which can be enhanced by their institutionalization. Thus, care focused on active aging in Long-Term Care Institutions for the Elderly (LTCI’s) can prevent or reduce these senile declines. The work reported the experience of students from a Technical Course in Elderly Care in the planning and execution of recreational activities developed through an extension project in LTCI’s in Santa Maria, RS. The actions were carried out with elderly people living in two LTCI’s in the city, through games and dynamics that aimed at the physical, social and emotional well-being of residents, as well as stimulating cognitive and sensorimotor components. The activities promoted a challenging and stimulating environment, providing fun and social integration. It is understood that the extension project is relevant to the institutionalized elderly community, being focused on comprehensive care in LTCI’s.
Inari BeilfussDanize Aparecida Rizzetti
