Abstract

This article discusses research on the factors associated with dropout of students with disabilities in technical vocational education, as well as factors  that contribute  to its permanence and certification. To examine dropout these subjects, a descriptive analysis of questionnaires given to dropout students of federal technical schools of Minas Gerais was carried out from 2007 to 2010, as well as the School Census data on the INEP technical schools federal Minas Gerais. The results show that the factors associated with school leaving students with disabilities have similar aspects to the dropout students in general. Cover, for example, the difficulty of reconciling study and work. However, there are aspects that relate only to students with disabilities, such as accessibility and the absence of specialized educational services. Studies in the school census data from 2007 to 2010 indicate also advances towards the organization of a federal network inclusive technical education in Minas Gerais.
