The purpose of this article is to defend the ethical unity in The world as will and representation. This is the ethical consideration of Besonnenheit, in addition to its gnosiological consideration, often referred to the aesthetics presented in the third book of the World. According to my interpretation, the "ethical" consideration concerns not only the development of the ethics of compassion and the ethics of denial of will, in the fourth book of the World. The ethical sense of the World resides more broadly in the possibility of overcoming the principle of reason, and therefore of individuation, a posture that has ethical consequences from the first line of Schopenhauer's masterpiece.Downloads
