credit cooperatives, efficiency, bibliographic, content analysisAbstract
The study analyzes how scientific production evaluates the efficiency of credit cooperatives. To this end, resources available from the Web of Science Core Collection, and from the SciELO database - Scientific Electronic Library Online were searched. From a brief bibliographical analysis of the articles, a content analysis of Bardin (2011) was performed. The survey covered the period from 1997 to 2019, totaling 27 studies. The results reveal the development of studies on credit union efficiency in several countries, and most of them analyze periods over one year, and the data envelopment analysis model is widely used. Also, the efficiency was analyzed on different approaches, and that these are determinants of the variables to be considered. The relevance of clearly defining the type of efficiency under analysis for the determination of the variables and the method stands out.Downloads
