Abstract

This article compares two educational experiences separated by fifteen years. In the first part of the text, we report the development of a digital arts workshop held in the Caminhando Juntos Project (CAJUN) in the Bela Vista neighborhood, in Vitória, ES, between 2008 and 2009. One of the central objectives of this workshop was to strengthen the socio-affective bonds of children and adolescents, with a view to developing self-esteem, identity, and a sense of belonging. In the second part, we comment on the photography studio practices for the Cinema and Audiovisual and Advertising course at the Federal University of Espírito Santo, in the year 2023. Through this process of recollection, the use of operational concepts developed during the teaching-learning processes, and the comparison between these two experiences, we understand the importance of educational memory for the formulation of efficient and sensitive work methodologies.

Inara Novaes Macedo, Secretaria de Educação do Espírito Santo

Multilingual artist, with comprehensive experience in the areas of Visual Arts, Music, Culture and Education. She has a master's degree in Arts from the Federal University of Espírito Santo, a degree in Plastic and Visual Arts from the same institution, a postgraduate degree in Art, Education and Contemporary Technologies (UNB) and Professional Qualification in Contemporary Dance (FAFI). She is an Educational Technician in the Curriculum Management of the Secretariat of Education of Espírito Santo.

Rodrigo Hipólito, Federal University of Espírito Santo

PhD student in Art and Culture from the Postgraduate Program in Arts at the Federal University of Espírito Santo (PPGA-UFES) with a Fapes scholarship, master in Theory and History of Art (PPGA-UFES) and Bachelor in Fine Arts from the same institution; Professor of the Department of Art and Music Theory (DTAM-UFES, 2015-2020), of the Department of Social Communication (DEPCOM-UFES, 2023-) of the Pedagogy and Psychology courses at the European College of Vitória (FAEV, 2015-2023) .

PhD in Arts from the São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (IA-UNESP), Master of Science from the Postgraduate Program in Social History at the University of São Paulo (FFLCH-USP), degree in Visual Arts from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES). Teacher at the Espírito Santo Department of Education.
