Movements in the construction of the rigth to early childhood education: historical and current

This article aims to investigate the recent events held at the field of public policies on early childhood education, systematizing the marks of construction of this right in terms of its newly established legal system and analyzing such actions from a perspective critical and reflective. The historical review of facts and laws are considered in their socio-historical contexts, showing the formation of children as subjects of rights, the trajectory of the recent history of the right to early childhood education, and some current perspectives for the realization of a Children’s education whith social quality. The study demonstrated that rights have been obtained from large-scale mobilization of social movements, especially considering the participation of Movement Interforuns Child Education in Brazil – MIEIB. It was demonstrated that in light of new legislation in the area, social movements need to continue mobilized in defense of Early Childhood Education.Downloads
