Adventure and perception: contribuitions for the teaching- learning process

Abstract

This study aimed to direct reflections for the process of teach-learning in Physical Education based on the theoretical referencial of the Phenomenology of the Perception. The text was elaborated from some results of a qualitative research, of exploratory character, whose objective was to know and analyze the theoretician-practical elements involved in adventure physical activities in the nature (AFAN). The research universe consisted by practitioners of adventure physical activities in the nature in the Island of Santa Catarina. The reflections had been elaborated from talks of the practitioners of these activities, gotten by means of interview. A relation between the experience of the knowledge, body and movement is presented, emphasizing aspects about the freedom associated to the technique and art idea. The results of the analyses support the following proposals: to recover the space of the experience as primordial in the constitution of the knowledge and to recognize the creative potential as a fundamental element in learning. The conclusion detaches the potential of the school Physical Education in constructing experiences that disclose the expressive power of the proper body.
