Learning journal. Confession. (De)Construction of identity.Abstract
This paper investigates the learning journal as a space for confession as its writer has to talk about him/herself, from a demand for reflection. It discusses student’s identity construction and representations within his/her learning journal. In order to do so, excerpts of journals as well as interviews about the journal writing process are analyzed. From a discursive analysis approach, the investigation points out the learning journal as a space for confession, which reveals or controls the power relationships established within the classroom.Downloads
