This work aims to read the work of Portuguese writer Inês Pedrosa Nas tuas Mãos, published in 1997, observing the novel’s forms of writing – diary and letter – as writings of the self, Michel Foucault’s term referring to the several discourse genres connected to personal experiences. We also intend to analyze the moments in which issues related to identity and gender relations, including all differences, such as those of gender, ethnicity and social classes, are described in the three parts that make up the work.Downloads
